Sorsogon Catholic Church is converting sunshine to energy and has made the switch to renewable electricity generation.

From the ground one won’t see much, but from above, a 200-watt solar hybrid system is placed on the roof, and runs mainly on battery with the grid as a back-up.

The solar hybrid system runs a few LED lights for the altar, blessed sacrament, entrance and outside for morning and evening use daily.

The switch to solar will allow the church to operate independently from utility power as well as reduce their carbon footprint. Truly, a win-win solution.
